It's hard to believe it's been over 50 years since the first strange experiences began in the not-so-sleepy Wiltshire town of Warminster. Reports of a "sonic deluge" led to the locals referring to "the thing" and subsequently, UFO reports began to make their way to to local journalist, Arthur Shuttlewood. These reports started to appear in the Warminster Journal local newspaper and then worldwide.
With UFO sightings increasing around the town during the 60s and 70s, it became a hotspot for enthusiasts from all over the world, and beyond! Cradle Hill, just north of the town, was a perfect spot for skywatching and UFO spotting.
We wrote 'Warminster Night' way back in 1983 and created a remixed version for the Weird 09 event held in the town in 2009. You can now download it free for a limited time, so get it while you can!
To get you in the mood for the forthcoming Warminster 2015 celebrations on 29th August, check out all our other music for sale including the original uplifting 'Warminster Night', the nostalgic 'Cradle Hill (Come Touch The Sky)' and the hypnotic instrumental 'Skywatching'.
